Auditorio Palacio Badajoz

Located on f Loor -1, the principal auditorium is the most attractive space in the building, with 851 seats spread over different levels and balconies. There are two reduced mobility spaces in the seating area and two in the first balconies. The seats were designed by Mónica Foster, winner of best design at the Stockholm International Design Fair in 2005, with the acoustic study undertaken by Higini Arau, the author of other projects at the Scala of Milan, the Teatro Real or the Kursaal in San Sebastián.

The auditorium stands out for its bluish tones, its polyester structure and its Perspex walls that light up with varying intensity depending on the event. This space is perfectly suited for staging conference, seminars and conventions, concerts, opera or zarzuela, a Spanish lyric genre. The stage is 17 metres deep and has direct access to the dressing room area. It has a large-dimensioned service lift connecting the building exterior with the stage.
